Vice President Sara Duterte revealed during a Senate hearing on Thursday, March 20, 2025, a letter she received from President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. In the letter, Marcos stated that his administration would not cooperate with the International Criminal Court (ICC) regarding the investigation into former President Rodrigo Duterte’s “war on drugs.”
In the letter dated December 15, 2023, Marcos wrote that his administration “will not cooperate with the ICC in any way, shape, or form” concerning the war on drugs investigation.
VP Duterte’s disclosure of the letter happened while her father, former President Rodrigo Duterte, is facing cases at the ICC related to the war on drugs.
