Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla and Justice Secretary Crispin “Boying” Remulla denied allegations that they had planned the arrest of former President Rodrigo Duterte on March 11, 2025.
According to Jonvic Remulla, their meeting did not involve discussions of an arrest plan, but rather focused on Duterte’s statements in Hong Kong. Boying Remulla echoed his brother’s statement, emphasizing that their conversation was covered by executive privilege.
“There were other people in the room, but we did not discuss any plans of any arrests,” Jonvic Remulla said. “We were discussing mainly about the [former] president’s statements in Hong Kong, and it was based all on that statement.”
