SHIFTING THE NARRATIVE: ANTA PH OPENS ITS FIRST SUPERSTORE TO SPARK TACLOBAN’S UNTAPPED POTENTIAL

PHILIPPINES, 2024 – Global sportswear leader ANTA believes in one core message: “Sports is for everyone.” As seen in campaigns such as the ANTA SHOCK 4 Tournament and in collectives such as the ANTA Running Tribe, the brand primarily supports every athlete by propelling the growth and empowerment of their athletic journeys through top-notch activewear all while providing stylish and functional clothing in lifestyle settings.

With the belief that the brand is for all, ANTA is opening the first ever ANTA Superstore in the Philippines—situated in the city of Tacloban. The Superstore in Robinsons Place Tacloban will house store-exclusive products that are centered on casual basics, lifestyle apparel, and sportswear for both adults and kids. Catering to both the athlete and the non-athlete, the Superstore is positioned to be the go-to apparel store for customers/athletes in Tacloban City and the whole of Leyte province.

Speaking on the purpose of the Superstore in Tacloban, ANTA PH General Manager John Paul Paglinawan shared: “This development aims to be the apparel difference-maker that the city of Tacloban and beyond have been longing for. We at ANTA believe that sports is for everyone, especially the youth, and we hope to support them in unleashing their true potential.”

Designed to meet the everyday needs of customers, the Tacloban Superstore will offer affordable and stylish versatile clothing to the city’s growing potential in lifestyle and sport. In providing local customers with a one-of-one shopping experience, the Superstore upholds ANTA’s commitment to making high-quality basics available to more Filipinos for them to enjoy a stylish and comfortable lifestyle.

Furthermore, with the region putting more emphasis on its athletes, Paglinawan said that ANTA plans on bolstering these communities through activations and product accessibility through future collaborations with the local government. Through these programs, ANTA hopes to pioneer a higher level of talent and skill in the region’s athletic communities through the ANTA way.

Branching out to Tacloban is part of ANTA’s goal of extending its initiatives to more parts of the country—especially to areas that have untapped potential. As ANTA continues to grow with 55 stores opened nationwide, the Superstore is a beacon for the brand to serve markets—and athletes—outside of the metro.

Besides being the first of its kind in the Philippines, the Superstore is also just the second in the whole Southeast Asia region. “We have plans to celebrate and commemorate this historic opening sometime next year,” Paglinawan shared.

The ANTA Superstore will officially open its doors to the public this coming November 24th, just in time for the holidays, in the Level 1, Expansion of Robinsons Place Tacloban—with its exact address being in Tabuan National Highway, Marasbaras, Tacloban City in Leyte.
