PLGU-DdO to reinforce Covid Vaccinations

The Provincial Government of Davao de Oro spearheaded by Governor Dorothy Montejo-Gonzaga recently conducted a meeting on its operation centers for Covid-19 Local Vaccination province-wide.

As of July 27, 2022, data from the Provincial Health Office (PHO) shows that the province has a total target population of 634, 876 individuals to be vaccinated to reach full herd immunity. Fully vaccinated individuals who completed their primary doses now reached 405, 434 individuals, while those with at least one dose reached 446, 096.

The municipalities of Maragusan, Mawab, Montevista, Nabunturan, and New Bataan have reached 70% of their total target population and continue their campaign for a much more protected communities. Further the municipalities of Compostela, Laak, Mabini, Maco, Monkayo and Pantukan have reached 50% to less than 70% of their target population.

In a meeting held on July 25, 2022, PHO-Davao de Oro, together with the Municipal Health Officers (MHO), Barangay Captains, and the Municipal Office of Senior Citizen Affairs (OSCA) strategize ways to reinforce the vaccination campaign in the municipalities. The group also discussed the Covid-19 vaccination directives from the national government. The meeting was also attended by Claire Reterba-Gonzaga-Executive Assistant on Health, Dr. Antonio P. Ybiernas, PHO-Head, and Asst. PG-Head Dr. Mary Cyrel G. Pasaol.

PLGU-Davao de Oro through PHO currently holds a 3-days vaccination drive at the provincial capitol complex for the employees of the provincial government starting July 27 to July 29, 2022. PHO continues to encourage the employees to get their booster doses for a much protected workforce.
