ZAMBOANGA DEL NORTE – A top-ranking PNP Official of this province has reported his accomplishments for April 15-21, 2024, reports reaching MDN said yesterday.
OIC Provincial Director Rainier P. Diaz of the Philippine National Police Provincial headquarters reported that his major accomplishments were from the arrest of most wanted persons, illegal drug trade and loose firearms.
MOST WANTED PERSONS
Dir Diaz said last week his team conducted operations and arrested 3 most wanted persons and 14 other criminal personalities wanted by the law.
“Just last week we arrested three most wanted persons in the province. We have also arrested 14 other criminal personalities wanted by the law for various offenses,” Diaz said.
ILLEGAL DRUGS
The PNP’s top official in the province has also reported neutralization of the illegal drug trade in his area of responsibility.
He said out 691 barangays in the province only 8 percent remain drug-infested by drug personalities. From April 15-21, his operatives also arrested 10 drug personalities and confiscated a total of 16 grams of illegal drugs with a total market value of P108,000.
“Our rigorous drug operations resulted in the confiscations of illegal drugs amounting to P108,000,” Dir Diaz claimed.
Diaz also hopes that with the neutralization of illegal drug trade in the province to only 8 percent out of 691 barangays, the province will be declared “drug free province in Mindanao.
LOOSE FIREARMS
OIC Director Diaz also reported their accomplishments from their loose firearms campaign.
He said his team of operatives conducted 19 operations all over the province and arrested two persons while in possession of illegal firearms.
“Many of those with unlicensed firearms have surrendered their firearms to us because of our relentless campaign against loose firearms,” he said.
