Manila, Philippines – The newly appointed members of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA) Parliament officially took their oath of office on Saturday before Interim Chief Minister Abdulraof Macacua. This marks a significant step in the ongoing transition of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
The BTA Parliament, tasked with both legislative and executive functions, plays a critical role in advancing peace, security, and development in the region. The new members are expected to contribute to the continued implementation of the Bangsamoro Organic Law (BOL), which aims to solidify autonomy and stability in Muslim Mindanao.
With pressing challenges such as poverty alleviation, job creation, and regional stability ahead, the newly inducted officials are set to work towards strengthening governance and improving the socio-economic conditions of the Bangsamoro people.
