Governor Jared visited Colorado Springs on Tuesday, November 29th with lots of official duties and responsibilities, reports reaching Mindanao Daily News said.
Among the official itineraries of the governor included honoring the first responders, heroes and victims of the deadly Club Q shooting, reports said.
The governor made several stops across the city. Among them were the Club Q memorial, the Colorado Springs Police Department, the Atrevida Beer Company and the 911 Call Center and InsideOut Youth Services.
Gov Polis also visited the families and community members affected by the deadly shooting at a premier safe haven of the LGBTQ members in Colorado Springs.
On November 28, the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) updated the number of victims during the Club Q massacre on November 19, this year.
- 5 deceased community members.
- 17 community members who are injured because of a gunshot wound.
- 5 community members who were injured, but not because of a gunshot wound.
- 12 community members who were a victim with no visible injuries.
The Colorado Police announced that anyone in the community who might have been a victim, has information about a potential victim, might have seen something or has information about this incident, to contact the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) by calling 1-800-CALL-FBI (or 1-800-225-5324).
According to the police update, the names of those killed on November 19 were identified as follows:
Raymond Green Vance, 22, a Colorado Springs native who was saving money to get his own apartment
Ashley Paugh, 35, a mother who helped find homes for foster children
Daniel Aston, 28, who had worked at the club as a bartender and entertainer
Kelly Loving, 40, whose sister described her as “caring and sweet”
Derrick Rump, 38, another club bartender known for his wit.
