MDNN International – A suspect who insanely murdered 5 people and caused injuries on 25 other bar hoppers of an LGBTQ club has been identified by the police in Colorado Springs.
Police authorities identified the lone gunman as a certain Anderson Lee Aldrich, 22. The Police are yet to know the motive of the suspect in what is called one of the deadly mass shootings in history.
Aldrich is now facing hate crime and murder charges according to an update released by the Colorado Springs Police Force. Another five charges were also reportedly pinpointed on the suspect.
Out of the five people who died, both Rump and Aston, 28 were bartenders of Club Q.
Colorado Springs police chief Adrian Vasquez said during a press briefing “Too often, society loses track of the victims of these sad and tragic events.”
Club Q, police said, has identified the “new heroes” who were able to stop the mass shooting by responding and attacking the insane shooter. They were known as Richard Fierro and Thomas James.
Immediately, Colorado Springs mayor John Suthers thanked the heroic acts of the crime responders who successfully subdued the gunman and prevented further injuries and fatality.
“We know many more community members were present at Club Q during the shooting, who may be victims with no visible injuries,” the police told a social media site.
The deadly attack, according to police records, was the sixth mass killing this month and it happened when the country was already shaken by the deaths of 21 people in a school shooting in Uvalde, Texas.
