CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY: Provincial Governor Yevgeny Vincente Emano, of Missmis Oriental, assailed the perpetrators of spreading “fake news” in a bid to malign the affairs of the provincial government.
Emano, however, said that he was not accusing anyone because his nature was not to engaged in character assassination or net picking.
“While it is obvious that the political rivals might have commissioned some groups and individuals to engage and create “fake news” of various forms, specially in the social media platforms, the provincial constituents know the truth” Emano said.
The people know that the provincial government paid the P 200 million Philhealth debt owed by the previous administration.
Emano said that more than 3,000 provincial employees were then deprived of the health services because pf the collossal Philhealth debt of the previous administration.
The launching of the innovative, now institutionalized “MisOr Care” program, saved the people and the workers of Misamis Oriental from deprivation of health services, Emano said.
Emano also said that his administration filled the financial coffers through sound fiscal management in stark contrast to the previous administration who bankrupt the provincial government almost unable to the workers’ wages.
“At least, after nine years serving as provincial governor, the provincial capitol has risen from the rubbles of bankruptcy, able to pay its obligations, increased the salaries of workers and effectively deliver the basic services on health, education, and infrastructure in the province,” Emano said. -0-
