GUINDULUNGAN, Maguindanao – An ambushcade that happened in the remotest area in this province resulted to the killing of at least 9 people and wounding of three others, the police authorities reported.
Police authorities have yet to identify all the dead bodies pending investigation from authorities.
Mayor Midpantao Midtimbang Jr only identified one of the slain rebels as one Commander Black Magic, based on the police officer’s account.
It was learned that the victims were on board two SUV vehicles when ambushed by still unidentified suspects in sitio Dam, Barangay Malumanis at around
The mayor said the victims were from Maguindanao but they have yet to be identified by police investigators.
The victims were onboard two Sports Utility Vehicles (SUV) traveling in a convoy during the ambush by still unidentified attackers.
When the police responded to the crime scene, they have counted nine bodies on the ground and on the Mitsubishi Montero and a Ford Ranger
A witness told the media, “the ambush site is far from a residential area, the nearest home is about a kilometer away.” The ambush site is also approximately 10 kilometers from the national highway between the boundaries of Isulan town in Sultan Kudarat and Cotabato City.
