Mayoralty aspirants in MisOr join Lakas-CMD

MISAMIS ORIENTAL – Governor Peter “Sr. Pedro” M. Unabia led mayoralty aspirants in the province who joined the administration party Lakas-CMD headed by its current party president and Speaker of House Martin Romualdez.

The said activity was held in Manila, and 25 of the incumbent mayors and mayoralty aspirants take their oath of allegiance to the Lakas-CMD of the administration of President “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr.

Those who joined Lakas-CMD political party and took their oath of allegiance include  Vice-Governor Jeremy Jonahmar “Jigjag” G. Pelaez, Donald Rey Ellarina “Donsals,” running for mayor in Laguindingan; Mayor Rico T. Taray of Talisayan; Mayor Erick Cañosa of Gingoog City, ABC President Liga ng mga Barangay Robert “Bobet” de Lara; Mayoralty aspirant Vergilia “Bebing” Dumadag Special Assistant to the Governor. Dumadag, report said, will be fielded again by Governor Unabia to run for mayor in Villanueva town for the second time.

Misamis Oriental Governor Peter M. Unabia and his son Christian S. Unabia were also present during the oath taking ceremony.

Meanwhile, Speaker Romualdez believes that the joining of candidates from other smaller political parties in the countryside is a good manifestation of trusting the new vision of Lakas-CMD for real and genuine unity and progress. 

Romualdez said the new administration of Lakas-CMD is fully supportive of the current thrust of the new administration of President Ferdinand Marcos. Jr. 

He said the support of the Marcos administration is ongoing to thousands of Barangays especially in areas identified as struck by typhoons and other calamities.
