MANILA, Philippines — As communities in Southern Mindanao continue to recover from the impact of a powerful earthquake, access to reliable electricity has become one of the most urgent needs in relief operations.
To help address this challenge, portable power and renewable energy solutions provider EcoFlow has partnered with Philippine nonprofit organization Angat Buhay to provide emergency energy support to affected communities through the donation of portable power stations and solar charging systems.
The initiative aims to assist disaster response teams and residents in areas where damage to electrical infrastructure has disrupted regular power supply, affecting communication, medical services, lighting, and other essential recovery activities.
“Access to dependable electricity is critical during disaster response, particularly in the immediate aftermath when communities and emergency teams are operating without essential infrastructure,” said Henry Liu, Regional Director for Asia Pacific of EcoFlow. “Reliable access to electricity can make a meaningful difference for responders and affected communities during emergencies. We hope to strengthen response efforts and help communities recover more quickly.”
As part of the partnership, EcoFlow also conducted operational training with Angat Buhay’s disaster response team to ensure the proper use and efficient deployment of the donated equipment. The training was attended by Angat Buhay Executive Director Raphael Martin Magno and Climate Action Programme Manager Menard M. Mabutol.
The donated equipment includes a combination of professional-grade and portable solar technologies designed to support immediate humanitarian needs and early recovery efforts.
Angat Buhay said the additional power resources will help sustain relief operations while communities transition from emergency response toward rehabilitation. The equipment will provide electricity for charging communication devices, powering lighting systems, supporting medical equipment, and operating other critical tools needed in affected areas.
“With EcoFlow’s support, our teams can continue relief operations and begin the transition to rehabilitation and early recovery, helping provide power for communication devices, lighting, medical equipment, and other critical tools while communities rebuild,” Magno said.
The initial deployment will support communities, relief hubs, and beneficiaries in General Santos City, Sarangani Province, and Jose Abad Santos, Davao Occidental—areas where some residents continue to experience unstable access to electricity following earthquake-related disruptions.
The partnership forms part of EcoFlow’s global “Power For All” corporate social responsibility program, which provides clean and dependable energy solutions to communities affected by disasters and humanitarian crises.
For EcoFlow Philippines distributor Enable, the initiative reflects the importance of ensuring communities remain connected and supported during emergencies.

The donated energy systems are currently undergoing final logistical preparations at the Angat Buhay office. Initial deployments will prioritize temporary medical facilities, emergency communication stations, volunteer coordination centers, and community kitchens supporting earthquake-affected communities.
Beyond providing immediate power assistance, the partnership highlights the growing role of renewable energy solutions in disaster preparedness and recovery—helping communities remain resilient even when traditional infrastructure is damaged.
