Senator Imee Marcos has apologized for her absence at the campaign rally of the administration-backed Alyansa para sa Bagong Pilipinas in Tacloban. Marcos cited the recent arrest of former President Rodrigo Duterte as the reason for her inability to attend the event.
The rally, which was attended by President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., aimed to promote the administration’s candidates and platform. Senator Marcos expressed her regret for missing the opportunity to show her support for the administration’s slate.
