CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – PDEA-10 Chief Atty Benjamin G. Gaspi yesterday said he was misquoted during an interview on January 19, 2024.
Atty. Gaspi said what he meant about internal cleansing of operatives, if they are reportedly involved in illegal drugs, are only PDEA personnel.
“Yung ibig kong sabihin ay PDEA internal service. Kasi wala naman tayong pakialam sa PNP. Meron din po silang “PNP internal service” na siyang mag iimbestiga kung meron man erring policemen,” he said.
Yung na-post na “policemen in PDEA” baka kasi ma-mis interpret tayo dun,” Gaspi added.
PDEA ASSESSMENT
The PDEA-10 chief also said in an interview with reporters that based on his assessment, there are no Narco-politicians in Northern Mindanao.
“So far wala naman tayong masasabing narco-politicians here in our AOR,” At saka dito din kasi sa coverage natin kapiranggot lang naman ang droga hindi kagaya sa Cebu City na kilo kilo and nakukumpiska ng PDEA dun.”
He added that there is no “clandestine” drug lab in Northern Mindanao based on their assessment.
