To make sure district finances and expenses for Rotary Year 2023-2024 are properly accounted for and recorded, DGE Gilda “Gigi” Go has appointed Past Assistant Governor Lina “Boleen” Estrella Faburada to lead the finance committee team.
Go said: “Maintaining transparent financing and good stewardship makes sure that clubs remain in proper financial standing with RI and the district. This committee supervises district funds, manages district governor expenses, and prepares annual reports on the status of the district’s finances,” the incoming governor said yesterday.
The Committee, DGE Go said, “also identifies and mitigates possible risks to protect clubs and the district, and ensure that proper income and expense records are kept. One of the members of the District Finance Committee is the DISTRICT AUDITOR.
As the incoming DISTRICT AUDITOR for District 3870 for Rotary year 2023-2024, PAG Boleen will be working with 4 other members of the District Finance Committee.
Faburada is a member of the Rotary Club of Cagayan de Pro East Urban. She is also a Certified Public Accountant, a Banker for more than 35 years, and a fiscal analyst.
She’s a very active member not only of Rotary but also Zonta International where she served as president for Zonta International Club 1 of Cagayan de Oro City.
