The Lourdes College Strings (Concert at the Lobby) with Ana Maria Velez De La Fuente conducting performed at the Lobby of Limketkai Luxe Hotel on December 22, 23, and 24, 2023 from 6:00PM to 7:00PM.
“They started to perform in 2015 since I started together with our Fresh Christmas Tree tradition,” said Limketkai Luxe Hotel General Manager Jerome dela Fuente. “However, it all stopped for 4 years when I left for my next foreign assignment, and is only resuming now that I am back.”
The Lourdes College strings were launched on December 4, 2013 at the Lourdes College auditorium when they performed alongside the Manila Symphony Orchestra as part of their December Rhapsody concert. Aside from performing regularly with the Lourdes College Chorale, the string ensemble also played at the Limketkai Luxe Hotel on December 21–24, 2015.
“Every summer the members get a chance to work with the Manila Symphony Orchestra at Cultural Center of the Philippines,” GM dela Fuente noted. “Four of the original members are now in college in Manila.” (PR)
