VP Duterte Defies Malacañang’s Call to Return Home, Cites Work on ICC Case

Vice President Sara Duterte has responded to Malacañang’s call for her to return home, stating that she is effectively managing the Office of the Vice President (OVP) remotely. Duterte emphasized that her priority is to work on her father’s case at the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague.

As the Vice President continues to support her father, former President Rodrigo Duterte, she has opted to remain in The Hague to oversee his legal proceedings. The ICC case against Duterte stems from allegations of crimes against humanity related to his administration’s war on drugs.
