2D Echo Clinic: A New Service for Heart Health
THE LANAO DEL SUR POVINCIAL HOSPITAL(Tamparan District
Hospital) under the new leadership of Dr.Faisal O. Idris MD, MSPH, MHA, Officer-in-Charge, Chief of Hospital II said
they are excited to announce to the people of the Basak region and nearby towns that the 2D Echo Clinic has been
launched last February 16,2024 and ready to served interested patients.
This clinic will offer 2D echocardiography, a noninvasive test that uses ultrasound waves to create images of your heart and its blood flow. 2D echocardiography can help diagnose and monitor various heart conditions, such as valve disease, heart failure, congenital defects, and more.
Our mission was to ensure the well-being of our community by offering essential healthcare services, including advanced cardiography.
The 2D Echo Clinic will be open every Monday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm. To book an appointment, please call or visit our hospital. We look forward to serving you and your heart health needs. Idris said
In another related development it was learned that they are thrilled to announce the successful completion of their FREE Cleft Lip and Palate Surgical Outreach Program under the “ALAY NAMIN NGITI PARA SA KINABUKASAN”, where a total of 62 patients underwent
operation. Idris said
This journey was made possible by the generous support of our major sponsors: BARMM Chief Minister Ahod Ebrahim, Ministry of Health led by MP Dr. Rizaldy Piang, IPHO – Lanao del Sur, headed by Dr. Allen D. Minalang, Team Operation New Face: Smile Train. Together, we brought countless smiles and restored confidence to children in need. Their unwavering support enabled us to provide free surgeries and comprehensive care, giving these children a brighter future.
We extended our heartfelt thanks to the doctors, medical staff, and volunteers of Lanao del Sur Provincial Hospital led by our exceptional OIC-Chief of Hospital II, Faisal O. Idris, MD, MSPH, MHA. Their dedication, expertise, and compassion transformed the lives of these young patients, instilled confidence, and nurtured their smiles. They showed remarkable skill and commitment throughout this journey. They were the true heroes of this endeavor.
As we celebrated the success of this life-changing operation, we reflected on the power of compassion, unity, and the ability to transform lives. Among the patients, there were 37 males and 25 females, with a total of 6 deferred cases.
Special recognition goes to the Operation New Face team members: PS Ramos, Exzel Isidro, Plastic Surgeons Dr. MaryGrace Nario and Dr. Christine Atienza, Anesthesiologist Dr. Nylene Arizala, and OR Nurses Maycee Merlas, Carla Policarpio, Mariety Estacio, Gene Sagrado, Diane Prepuse, Sherrie Lou Muna, and Robina Aserit. Their expertise and dedication were instrumental in the success of the program.
Each restored smile was a testament to the collective efforts of everyone involved, from our medical team to our sponsors and the resilient spirit of the children. We aimed to keep spreading hope, building brighter futures, and inspiring confidence in every child. Together, we could create a world where every smile shone bright, and every child embraced a future full of possibilities.
