Manila, Philippines – Interior and Local Government Secretary Jonvic Remulla has drawn public attention after refusing to disclose key details regarding a private jet reportedly chartered by the Office of the President.
The jet, identified by its tail number RP-C5219, has been the subject of speculation, but Remulla remained tight-lipped when asked about its ownership and the cost of the chartered flight. His reluctance to provide further information has raised questions about transparency and government spending.
When pressed by reporters, Remulla only confirmed that the aircraft was used for official purposes but declined to elaborate. “I have no further comment on that matter,” he stated.
Critics argue that the lack of disclosure fuels concerns over accountability, while government officials insist that the flight was necessary for state affairs.
As scrutiny over government expenditures continues to grow, calls for transparency regarding the chartered jet’s details are expected to intensify.
