President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has reportedly promised Senator Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa that he will not allow the International Criminal Court (ICC) to take action against him. This assurance comes amid the ICC’s investigation into the Philippine government’s war on drugs, which has implicated several high-ranking officials, including Dela Rosa.
However, it’s worth noting that there has been no official confirmation from the Palace regarding this reported promise. In fact, Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla has stated that the government will not interfere if the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) decides to pursue Dela Rosa and other suspects.
