The Philippine National Police (PNP) has expressed readiness to assist the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) if additional arrest warrants are issued against alleged co-perpetrators of former President Rodrigo Duterte in connection with his controversial war on drugs.

PNP spokesperson Police Brigadier General Jean Fajardo stated on Sunday that while no official information has been provided regarding further arrests, the PNP has established protocols in place for serving warrants to individuals linked to the drug war.

“We have a template for handling such cases,” Fajardo assured, emphasizing that the PNP is prepared to comply with legal directives should the need arise.

The development follows Duterte’s ongoing case at the International Criminal Court (ICC), where he faces charges of crimes against humanity over the thousands of deaths that occurred under his anti-drug campaign.
