Piagapo dad encourages ALS completers to aim high

MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur (PIA)–Piagapo town vice mayor Ali Sumandar encouraged completers of the Expanded Educational Program-Alternative Learning System (EEP-ALS) of the 51st Infantry Battalion (IB) to aim high and work hard.

During the program’s graduation ceremony held in Radapan village on June 8, Sumandar told the completers that even if one is knowledgeable, he will not succeed if he doesn’t strive hard.

Happy to see a great number of ALS completers from his town, Sumandar advised them to do their best to apply their learnings to proceed to the next ladder.

The vice mayor also expressed gratitude to the 51st IB and volunteer teachers for their dedication and devotion to help his constituents.

A total of 89 locals completed the EEP-ALS program intended to thwart the recruitment of out-of-school youth by the Dawlah Islamiyah Maute group and contribute to improving literacy in vulnerable communities.  (APB/PIA-10 Lanao del Sur)
