PGMO Commits to Excellence: Flag Raising Ceremony Kicks Off October

BY GERRY LEE GORIT

With unwavering dedication, the Provincial Capitol of Misamis Oriental (PGMO) kicked off October by hosting its 62nd Flag Raising Ceremony with a resounding commitment to deliver quality, effective, and efficient services to the people of the province.

Led by Provincial Governor Peter M. Unabia, the ceremony highlighted significant achievements on the province’s path to progress. One such milestone was the Ceremonial Signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with Scientists and Engineers without Borders (SEWB) Korea, focusing on sustainable agricultural community development and environmental preservation through research and joint projects.

Additionally, an essential agreement was forged with Mr. Ramel F. Jamen, the Regional Director of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), to implement a 13-cycle Milk Feeding program worth Php. 25,000,000.00. This initiative targets 4th to 6th class municipalities with high malnutrition rates, aiming to make a difference in the lives of children.

During the event, a symbolic check of Php. 5,000,000.00 was handed over for the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) program. This financial support will provide much-needed relief to those facing dire circumstances.

The 62nd Flag Raising Ceremony concluded with a lively mass dance, featuring participation from the Governor himself, the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Board Members, Department Heads and all of PGMO Employees which also marked the culmination of the 123rd Anniversary of the Civil Service month.

October began on a productive note, underscoring the Provincial Capitol’s unwavering commitment to providing exceptional services to the people of Misamis Oriental.
