CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY: Operatives of the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit (RPDEU) in Northern Mindanao seized illegal drugs worth P1.36 million during a buybust operations in Cagayan de Oro City, the police said Thursday.
In his report to the police regional command here, Lt. Col. Alwin T. Baclao, leader of the RPDEU, said that the operation took place Wednesday (Oct. 26, 2022) in Paglaum, Upper Camaman-an, Cagayand De Oro City.
He said that the RPDEU team in coordination with the Cagayan de Oro City Police, arrested Abdulwahid D. Tago, 41, a resident of Malabang, Lanao del Sur and Adelina J. Pagalan, 47, of Barangay 36, Cagayan de Oro City.
Seized from the suspects was a pouch containing white crystalline substance of alleged “Shabu” (Methamphetamine Hydrochloride) weighing , 200 grams with an estimated street value of Php1,360,000.
Baclao said that the buy bust was carried out with the police officer Shernan B Almazan posing as buyer of the illegal drugs.
He said that the suspects were charged with violation of the comprehensive anti-illegal drug law while the suspected illegal drugs were submitted for laboratory examination. -0-
