THE Office of the Vice President of the Philippines has opened its 9th OVP satellite office in Cotabato City on Sunday, June 4, 2023, in order to enhance and offer more services closer to the Bangsamoro constituents. The OVP office is located at 16A Sinsuat Avenue, Rosary Heights VI.
Vice President Sara Z. Duterte-Carpio personally graced the brief occasion, and was welcomed by Chief Minister Ahod Ebrahim and Maguindanao Del Norte Governor Abdulraof “Gob Sam” A. Macacua and other key BARMM officials.
VP Duterte said that the opening of a satellite office in th'[e seat of the regional government in this city will bring the services of her office closer to the Bangsamoro people, including those living in the island provinces.
“Satellite offices are not built in every region, but rather in chosen locations where they can be easily accessed by people from other regions or islands,” the Vice President said.
In a press statement grabbed from the official facebook page of the OVP, it was said that the satellite office will boost its presence in the region.
“Sa tulong ng panibangong OVP Satellite Office, mas mapapalawak na natin ang pagbigay ng tulong sa ating mga kababayang nangangailangan ng ating mga programa lalo na ang medical at burial assistance,” the statement reads.
Chief Minister Ahod B.Ebrahim said the Bangsamoro government will fully support the various programs of Vice President Sara Duterte-Carpio, ,adding the newly established OVP satellite was a great help for everyone needing assistance and those having special concerns.
The office will enhance coordination efforts with various offices in BARMM in implementing various OVP services such as “Mag Negosyo Ta ‘Day”, PagbaBAGo campaign, Kalusugan Food Truck, Pansarap nutritional feeding program, and calamity response under the Disaster Operations Center
It could be re-called that the newly launched satellite offices are located in the cities of Dagupan for Region 1 (Ilocos) Cebu of Region 7(Central Visayas)Tacloban for Region 8 (Eastern Visayas), Zamboanga for Region 9 (Western Mindanao), Davao for Region 11 (Southern Mindanao, Tandag in Surigao del sur for Region 13 (Eastern Mindanao ) and BARMM. ###
