CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – In the hallowed halls of the Department of Health (DOH) Regional Office X, located in the bustling city of Cagayan de Oro, the Regional Oversight Committee on Barangay Drug Clearing (ROCBDC) convenes to deliberate on the progress of various barangays within the region.
Under the stewardship of Atty. Benjamin G. Gaspi, the Regional Director of PDEA RO-X, the committee, comprising esteemed members from PNP, DOH, and DILG, is pleased to provide an insight into the current proceedings.
A total of 19 barangays spanning three provinces have achieved the distinction of being labeled as “Drug Cleared Barangays.”
In Misamis Occidental Province: 6 barangays from Ozamis City and 2 from Baliangao Municipality
In Lanao del Norte Province: 1 barangay from Munai Municipality In Bukidnon Province: Barangays from Quezon Municipality (5), Malaybalay City (1), Kitaotao Municipality (1), and San Fernando Municipality (1)
In Misamis Oriental Province: 1 barangay each from Cagayan de Oro City and El Salvador City
Furthermore, 95 barangays previously recognized as drug-cleared, along with 4 others designated as drug-free, have successfully navigated through stringent validation and verification processes to uphold their current statuses.
