The Cagayan de Oro Executive Lions Club of Lions International Philippines conducted a medical and dental mission, including other services last March 10 at Barangay Dansolihon as requested by Barangay Captain Ogie Roa from the club.
Thousands of residents received such services with Free medicines, medical Check up and blood pressure checking.
Aside from the medical and dental services, residents also received free hair and make up services from their partner, free hair Cut and Massage sponsored by MASSA Foundation, distribution of free reading glasses, fFree diabetes check up, Free Blood pressure check up and Free Legal services.
Dansolihon Barangay Captain Ogie Roa was overwhelmed with the turn out of event since this is the first time that the total number gathered are over a thousand residents.
This is part of his consistent program dubbed as “Halad Serbisyo Publiko” since he assumed office as Barangay Captain November last year.
Dansolihon is a river rafting hub of Cagayan de Oro City were the 21 rapids starts at Ugyaban river, the village has around 5 caves just recently explored by the present administration in coordination with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR)Region 10 and it is also a home of the tallest mountain in Cagayan de Oro City, which is Mount Nahilaran.
Mount Nahilaran, also known for trekking and other adventure events that want the Barangay Council pushed as part of their Tourism promotion.
The Medical and Dental Mission of Cagayan de Oro Executive Lions Club is in partnership with Dansolihon Barangay Council lead by Barangay Chairman Ogie Roa and St.Francis Doctors Hospital and Medical Center who provides Doctors,Nurses and Medical facilities.
Lions Club International Philippines District 301-E Governor Benny Ambuayan graced the event. We learned from him that the Lions International Foundation donated a total of 10,000 US dollar for the relief operation and his team went to Davao de Oro last March 11 to give assistance to landslide and flood victims.
The Cagayan de Oro Executive Lions Club, led by its President John Mark Tagara, organized the event requested by Dansolihon Barangay Captain Ogie Roa.
The event is also in cooperation with 5 other clubs namely Host Lions Club,CDO Macajalar Lions Club, CDO Maharlikans Lions Club, CDO Macahambus Lions Club and CDO Metro Lions Club.
