The Cagayan de Oro Hotel and Restaurant Association (COHARA) has a new set of leaders, as the newly-elected officers for the term 2025-2027 took their oath of office before Vice Mayor Jocelyn “Bebot” Rodriguez. The induction ceremony was held during the COHARA General Membership Meeting, where the following officers were sworn in: Jerome De La Fuente of Limketkai Luxe Hotel as President, Eileen San Juan of The VIP Hotel as VP – Hotel Division, and Catherine Dano of Thai Me Up Restaurant as VP – Restaurant Division.
Other officers who took their oath include Tricia Grace Rañises of Newdawn Hotel Plus as Secretary, Blanquita Marco of Boy Zugba Restaurant as Treasurer, and Marielle Clarence Argayoso of Bridge Hotel as PRO. The Board of Directors is composed of Alexis A. Chaves of Chali Resort & Conference Center, Eduardo Pelaez of Duka Bay Resort, and Cheryl Wee Eng of IA Express Hotel, among others.


In her message, Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez congratulated the new set of leaders and expressed her confidence in their ability to lead the organization to greater heights. She also emphasized the importance of partnerships between COHARA and the local government in promoting Cagayan de Oro’s hospitality and tourism industry.
The Vice Mayor’s Office is looking forward to working with the new COHARA leadership to implement initiatives that will boost the city’s tourism sector and create more opportunities for local businesses and entrepreneurs.
COHARA is a non-profit organization that aims to promote and develop the hospitality and tourism industry in Cagayan de Oro. With its new leadership, the organization is expected to play a more significant role in shaping the city’s tourism landscape.
