MisOr’s Juliette Uy: ‘Progress comes when people work together’

A vision for unity and growth is what Governor-elect Juliette Uy will leapfrog upon her assumption as the Lady Governor of Misamis Oriental, a coastal province of almost a million people.

The new governor will take the lead on friday, 20th of June for the mass oath taking of elected provincial and municipal officials of Misamis Oriental in Villanueva town.

As she gets hold of the leadership at the provincial capitol, Governor Uy is set to take her role with bold, clear directions anchored on unity, inclusive growth and good governance.

She brings a wealth of experience and a strong track record of service to the people of the province.

With three terms as Congresswoman of the 2nd District of Misamis Oriental, Governor Uy has demonstrated her commitment to the welfare of her constituents and the ability to deliver results.

From better roads and healthcare to stronger education and sustainable growth, Governor Uy aims to uplift every community — building this coastal province where no one is left behind.

Governor Uy has already outlined several key plans and programs aimed at promoting the province’s development agenda and improving the lives of its people.

  • Infrastructure Development: prioritize infrastructure projects that will improve connectivity, facilitate trade, and enhance the overall quality of life for residents. This includes upgrading roads, bridges, and public transportation systems.
  • Economic Development: promote economic growth by supporting local businesses, attracting investments, and creating opportunities for entrepreneurship. She also plans to develop the province’s tourism industry by leveraging its natural attractions and cultural heritage.
  • Healthcare and Education: improve the province’s healthcare and education systems, increase access to quality healthcare services and support educational initiatives that will equip young people with the skills they need to succeed.
  • Environmental Protection: recognize the importance of protecting the environment and promoting sustainable development by implementing programs that will preserve the province’s natural resources and help mitigate the impact of climate change.
