Misamis Oriental gov’t whips rogue workers

By Gerry Lee Gorit

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – Misamis Oriental Governor Peter “Sr. Pedro” Unabia ordered a close monitoring on the delinquent employees of the province’s Capitol.

The Governor has observed that many do not attend flag raising ceremonies and received reports of personnel present on daily time records (DTRs) but absent on their respective workplaces.

Provincial Administrator John Venice Ladaga unveiled that employees are now required to log in to their biometrics more than the usual four times a day to authenticate their presence. Ladaga stressed that the coverage of the Governor’s order is regardless of employment status – all job order (JO), casual and permanent or regular.

He jokingly cited that this is one of the disadvantages in the location of the Capitol which is adjacent to malls.

Delinquents who will be caught shall be met with disciplinary action beginning with an investigation where respective department managers can also be summoned.

Offenders proven guilty are subjected to reprimand or suspension if not dismissal from service.
