MDN, ACE co-launches 4th MGLEA’s search for Outstanding Law Enforcers

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – The Alliance of Certified Enforcers (ACE), has publicly announced that it is co-presenting the Mindanao Daily’s 4th Mindanao Governance & Leadership Awards for the Search of the 2023 Outstanding Law Enforcers in Mindanao category, during its launching on Wednesday, January 18 the at Mallberry Business Hotel in Cagayan de Oro City.

The annual awards is also co presented by Veterans Bank and Ayala Corporation.

According to ACE founding chairman Erwin Culanag, any individual (be in government or private sector) whose work is in enforcing Philippine national and local criminal laws and who is based in Mindanao is qualified to be nominated.

“We initially thought of limiting our nominees to those who are based only here in Region 10. But upon the invitation of Mindanao Daily publisher Dante Sudaria for us to be embedded in their Mindanao-wide awards of outstanding government leaders, the scope of our nomination will already be Mindanao- wide,” Culanag said.

To avail of the nomination forms and to submit the necessary accompanying requirements, please email [email protected]. Deadline of nominations will be on February 11, 2023 or exactly one week before The 4th Mindanao Governance & Leadership Excellence Awards which will be held on February 18 at Limketkai Rotunda here in Cagayan de Oro City.

Allan Mediante the Awards project director of the 4th Mindanao Governance & Leadership Awards said the recognition is conferred to Outstanding Mindanao Leaders, on the following criteria: Consistency of best practices in governance (regulatory change, good management, utilization of technology and human resources management practices); principled leadership style (responsiveness to people needs through participatory service delivery, civic engagement, partnerships and resource mobilization for poverty reduction and local level development; recognition and awards (from reputable awarding bodies – local, national or international) and ingenuity; and originality in programs and projects conceptualization and implementation (building cohesive local communities for a secure and peaceful environment; developing institutional and structural arrangements, management systems and tools that work.)

On the other hand, the advocacy of the Alliance of Certified Enforcers is to unite and educate Philippine law enforcers of their democratic rights and economic welfare, to advance a scientific and mass-based orientation on law enforcement education and to encourage a pro-active and dynamic participation of enforcers in various formation and Christian-driven way of life.

Mr. Dante Sudaria, President & CEO and publisher of Mindanao Daily News, and chairman of the MGLEA Awards has urged the various government offices and academe, and civic organizations to start sending their respective nominations.

Mediante, the MGLEA Awards director and Editor in Chief of Mindanao Daily, bared that for the 4th MGLEA episode the following.

Categories will be: National Government ; Executive , Legislative , Judiciary, Legislative, Senate Lower House, Civil Service

Law Enforcement (PNP, NBI) & AFP; LGU Barangay, LGU Cities, LGU Municipality, LGU Province; Government Academe & Universities; Youth & Civic Organizations;

The MGLEA awards project which is an annual event gives honor and recognition to the excellent governance and leadership of Mindanaoans.

“Their continued efforts to seek greater heights in governance is promoting a good image of Mindanao”, Sudaria said.

The prominent Mindanao leaders who were past awardees of MGLEA included former president Rodrigo Duterte; Senators Migz Zubiri; Bong Go; Gen. Bato dela Rosa; Sec. Martin Andanar; and Justice Jaapar Dimaampao of the Supreme Court.
