MANILA — The country’s premier airport, Ninoy Aquino International Airport which handles 80 percent of international traffic annually badly needs upgrading of its internet connectivity, said Augusto Baculio Jr, President and CEO of Orbits Satellite Corporation.
With the recent launch of satellite internet by Astranis and Orbits Satellite Corporation, the problem of internet connectivity at the country’s major airports will soon be a thing of the past.
Orbits Satellite Corporation, the sole provider of satellite internet in the country is poised to revolutionize internet connectivity in major airports of the country.
Baculio said the country remains a focal point for airport infrastructure development, with numerous countries advancing ambitious programs to upgrade existing airports and construct new ones to meet rising demand.
Within this context, the country is experiencing its own dynamic growth phase, driven by increasing private sector partcipation hence the urgent need to upgrade internet facilities, Baculio said.
