President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. arrived at Benoni Port on Monday, July 13, to lead the inauguration of the Light Craft Landing Station Project in Camiguin.
He was welcomed by Camiguin Lone District Representative Congressman Jurdin Jesus Romualdo upon his arrival.
The new facility is expected to help accommodate the growing maritime traffic in the island province. Officials said the landing station will support safer and more efficient docking for smaller vessels and light crafts that serve Camiguin and nearby routes.
Benoni Port serves as the main seaport gateway to Camiguin. The project is part of government efforts to upgrade port infrastructure amid rising tourism and inter-island travel in Northern Mindanao.
