This insurance program is made possible through a partnership with Fortune Life Insurance Company Inc., endorsed by the Insurance Commission.

LTOP Foundation Inc. National President Orlando F. Marquez Sr. expressed his commitment to providing drivers with the best possible protection and support. “We believe that our drivers deserve the best protection possible, and we are committed to working with our partners to provide them with the support they need,” he said.

The launch of the insurance program is part of the LTOP Foundation Inc.’s efforts to support the welfare of drivers across the Philippines. The foundation views the newly appointed Secretary of the Department of Transportation (DOTr), Honorable Vivencio “Vince” B. Dizon, as a key partner in advancing various programs and initiatives aimed at improving the livelihood of public transport workers, especially drivers.

As part of its commitment, the LTOP Foundation Inc. is set to launch several key projects that will benefit transport workers. These initiatives include a housing project for qualified drivers, a scholarship program for drivers and their children, a retirement program for drivers reaching the age of 65, and a modernization initiative for public utility jeepneys (PUJs).

The official launch of the LTOP Foundation Inc. and its projects will take place on March 7, 2025, in Cagayan de Oro City, Mindanao. Secretary Vince Dizon will serve as the guest of honor and inducting officer for the foundation’s national directors, regional directors, and provincial officers. He will also witness the unveiling of the foundation’s major programs.

The event will be attended by officials from the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB), Land Transportation Office (LTO), local government officials of Cagayan de Oro City, and representatives from various provinces in Mindanao.

The LTOP Foundation Inc. is also pushing for the inclusion of traffic rules and regulations in the Department of Education (DepEd) curriculum from Grade 3 to Grade 12 (Senior High School). The goal is to elevate the standards of Filipino drivers to an international level while also educating passengers and pedestrians on traffic laws to reduce violations and accidents.

This proposal is strongly endorsed by LTOP Foundation Inc. National President Orlando F. Marquez Sr., alongside the foundation’s executive officers and regional and provincial leaders nationwide.

In line with its advocacy, the LTOP Foundation Inc. is committed to working with the government and other stakeholders to promote road safety and responsible driving practices. The foundation believes that by working together, they can create a safer and more efficient transportation system for all Filipinos.

The launch of the comprehensive insurance program for drivers is a significant step towards achieving this goal. By providing drivers with financial protection and peace of mind, the LTOP Foundation Inc. is helping to promote a culture of safety and responsibility on the roads.

As the LTOP Foundation Inc. continues to work towards its mission of promoting the welfare of drivers and promoting road safety, it is clear that the organization is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of Filipinos. With the support of Secretary Vince Dizon and the Department of Transportation, the LTOP Foundation Inc. is poised to make a significant difference in the transportation sector.
