Ladaga said it was seemed too ambitious vision of the governor but the team was positive they can achieve it, with the present focus of the province on poverty alleviation programs.

This is the first state of the province address ni Governor Unabia,” Ladaga explained.

The provincial administrator said agriculture is one of the agenda which has given the province a much bigger budget as farmers needed much boost in their activities in the farm.

The Governor, Ladaga said, has also given attention to the plight of coconut farmers in the province.

“Naa kitay training center inside sa Center for Sustainable Development. It’s a separate management project attached to agriculture.

” The governor has also partnered with the private groups to help the coconut farmers in their income-generating livelihood projects.”

The old “Philip Morris building” was made available for the coconut farmers as their training center and all other activities related to coconut farming, Ladaga added.

Highlights also of the first SOPA of Governor Unabia is the opening of “Kuyamis Festival” , the province’s activity showcasing the “One Town” products of every municipality in the province. A trade fair will be put up inside the Provincial Government premises, where every town is allowed to have their own booth and display their farm produce and handicrafts to the public.
