Governor Unabia challenges Oro and Misor congressmen to work hard for the development of Laguindingan Airport, MICP and Railway project

By Gerry Lee Gorit

MISAMIS ORIENTAL – Paglaum Governor Peter M. Unabia challenges all congressmen in the province and Cagayan de Oro to work hard for the development of three major projects that will propel massive development of the island.

Unabia named these major government infrastructures as the Laguindingan Airport, Mindanao Container Port and Mindanao Railway project.

The governor said that it’s not only Laguindingan Airport that needs development but also the MICP and the long overdue Mindanao railway project.

“Dako ni nga trabaho busa akong gihagit ang tanang congressmen to work hand in hand because if these major projects will be fully developed it will surely benefit all the people in terms of job generation, and all other types of employment opportunities,” the governor explained.

He said the tasks at hand are not easy. In fact, they were very difficult and hard to achieve. But if all leaders work hand in hand, this will be realized.

The governor echoed his challenge during the groundbreaking ceremonies of the Laguindingan  Airport Expansion Project and Railway Sector Townhall Meeting Mindanao Railway Project-Phase 3 on February 4, 2024, and attended by top officials in Cagayan de Oro and Misamis Oriental.

The said activity was spearheaded by the Department of Transportation (DOTr) and graced by Secretary Jaime J, Bautista himself.
