MARAWI CITY – Council of Leaders Bae sa Macadar Hadja Nabiha “Noni” Lao, President of Mindanao Center for Local Governance Inc., participated in the official launch of the Open Government National Advocacy Campaign (OGPinas!) at the Shariff Kabunsuan Cultural Complex, Bangsamoro Government Center.
The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) led the ceremony in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance, Budget, and Management (MFBM), the Ministry of the Interior and Local Government (MILG), and the Bangsamoro Information Office (BIO).
OGPinas! is a nationwide initiative under the Philippine Open Government Partnership (PH-OGP), aiming to increase awareness about PH-OGP, especially at the local level. It seeks to enhance communication channels between the government and civil society and bolster public engagement in governance.
Key attendees included DBM Secretary Amenah F. Pangandaman, DBM Executive Undersecretary Margaux Salcedo, BARMM Chief Minister Ahod Balawag Ebrahim, and other Bangsamoro and National Government officials. The campaign, symbolized by hashtags like #OGPinas and #OpenGovPh, aligns with the commitment to transparent budgeting and a renewed Philippines.
