I have always looked at the Rotary Club of West Cagayan de Oro with admiration and respect, even reverence.
With 56 years of proud history, having produced 7 District Governors, hosted many District events and conferences and rendered smart, sustainable and life-changing projects to our communities, West CDO rightfully deserves its place among the District’s greats.
One of my earliest memories as a Rotarian was to welcome to our Club, Past District Governor (PDG) Rhia Rita Abalos, the District’s First Lady Governor and stalwart of West CDO.
By any measure, West CDO is a formidable Club. Not because it is strong and influential, but rather because of its capacity to use its strength and influence to do good for others.
I congratulate Outgoing President Dures Tagayuna and her Team for an extraordinary, nay magical, year of service. I am excited to work with incoming President Roena Ibay- Bince and the new Officers as we make this year’s journey fun, consequential and impactful.
No matter the challenges, goals and targets, when this formidable Club comes together, commits and unites, it succeeds!
