Tokyo, Japan – A group of Filipinos gathered in Tokyo’s bustling Shibuya district on March 16, 2025, to show their support for former President Rodrigo Duterte, who is currently facing charges at the International Criminal Court (ICC).
The demonstrators expressed their disappointment with the ongoing legal proceedings and reaffirmed their loyalty to Duterte, often referred to as “Tatay Digong” by his supporters. The rally reflected the strong backing the former president continues to receive from both Filipinos in the Philippines and those living abroad.
