Montreal, Canada – A group of Filipino-Canadians gathered in Montreal on March 15, 2025, to express their support for former Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte.
The rally, documented by Edward Ralph Llesis Esplago, featured chants of “Duterte! Duterte! Duterte!” and placards with slogans such as “#GodSaveThePhilippines,” “#BringDuterteBackHome,” and “#DutertePaRin.”
Organizers described the event as a show of solidarity among overseas Filipinos who continue to support Duterte despite the ongoing case against him at the International Criminal Court (ICC).
“We are grateful to our fellow Filipinos who took the time to show their love for our country and for PRRD,” the organizers said in a statement. “Mabuhay po kayo!”
