Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Region 10 joins the Nationwide Simultaneous Tree Planting Activity led by the Department of Interior and Local Government, Department of Agriculture and Local Government Unit of Cagayan de Oro on September 13, 2022 at Sitio Camarahan, Pagatpat, Cagayan de Oro City.
The activity was participated in by the Department of Public Works and Highways, Department of Labor and Employment, Urban Search and Rescue, City Local Environment and Natural Resources Office, Philippine National Police, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, Philippine Army (PA), the PA Reserve Command and other National Government Agencies (NGAs) during the activity.
A total of 8,654 seedling/propagules/planting stock composed of Giant Bamboo, Molave, Narra, Bayok, Almon Tanguile, White Lauan, Lanzones, Rambutan, Durian, Gold Tree, Pink Trumpet, Mahogany, Balitbitan, Fruit Trees, Mangrove (Bakauan), Bakauan Babae and Bakauan Lalaki were planted regionwide by 1,381 participants in a combined area of 10.24 hectares.
