DCE Opens Branch at Ayala Malls Centrio

DCE – Home of Filipino Classic Merienda opened its second branch in Cagayan de Oro City. It is an island-type café at the third level of Ayala Malls Centrio.

Short for Dennis Coffee Express, DCE is an offshoot of Dennis Coffee Garden (DCG), the famed café in Zamboanga City that has been promoting Tausug Coffee (Kahawa Sug) and native, heirloom delicacies.

Dennis Coffee Garden took its roots in 1962 when the Ahalul family matriarch established a café in the town of Jolo, Sulu offering the homegrown Kahawa Sug brewed coffee and local pastries. Today, the third generation Ahalul family led by siblings Dennis and Imelda took off from their childhood entrepreneurial exposure and established a modernized café in Zamboanga City in 2015. Three more branches were opened and by October of 2020, DCE was opened as an island-type café at 3rd Level, SM Downtown CDO Premier.

DCE is the simpler, the contemporary and the more-inclusive version of Dennis Coffee Garden.  While DCG is all about Tausug coffee culture and food heritage, DCE champions inclusively old Filipino favorites blending with modern look-and-feel of food presentation and store ambiance.

DCE offers its signature brewed Sulu coffee, sikwate, cold brew, cold calamansi, mango shake and iced tea. Drinks can be paired with nilupak, creamy binaki, wadjit (purple biko), jualan, pitis, pastil, beef kulma and chicken pianggang.

DCE operates during mall hours from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. You may bring your family and friends as their seating capacity can accommodate as many as 20 persons. It is definitely a coffee experience that takes you down memory lane.  Old flavors, timeless treasures – only at DCE!
