CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY: A fire of unknown origin gobbled up more than 100 houses in the seaside village of San Isidro in Lapasan, Cagayan de Oro City about 6 a. m. Tuesday.
Fire officials said about 500 individuals were displaced and were immediately evacuated to safer grounds in coordination with the city’s social welfare workers.
There were no reports of casualties or injuries as fire fighters managed to control the conflagration an hour later.
Barangay officials appealed for help
such as used clothing, kitchen utensils, blankets, mats and other household essentials.-0-
