The charges stem from an incident where Avanceña allegedly beat the forehead of a Special Action Force (SAF) personnel during the service of the International Criminal Court (ICC) arrest warrant against Duterte.
According to reports, the incident occurred as authorities were executing the ICC warrant, which led to Duterte’s arrest and subsequent transfer to The Hague for trial.
