The Bureau Port of Customs (BOC) Port of Davao planted 400 Narra, Malibago, and Mahogany tree seedlings during the tree planting activity on November 26, 2022, in Barangay 10-A, San Rafael, Davao City.
The activity was aligned with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr’s Flood Control Program and BOC Commissioner Yogi Filemon L. Ruiz’s Corporate Social Responsibility Program (CSR) initiatives for stakeholders and the public.
The Puno ng Kinabukasan Tree Planting Activity, with the theme “Ikaw, Ako, at BOC,” was conducted simultaneously with the BOC Central and other Collection Districts. “Puno ng Kinabukasan” means “tree of future” or “bountiful future.”
The event was meant to address the damage brought about by several typhoons that caused the deforestation of our mountains and brought problems of massive flooding.
