THE Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) 10 marked its 35th founding anniversary on August 13 with the theme BJMP@35: Disiplina at Responsibilidad sa Serbisyong may Kredibilidad.
The celebration highlights the bureau’s 35 years of service in jail management and itscommitment to humane safekeeping and rehabilitation of persons deprived of liberty.
BJMP 10 currently has 1,333 personnel andoversees 28 jail facilities across Northern Mindanao including 24 operational and fournon-operational facilities.
The bureau also continues to strengthen partnerships with localgovernment units, government agencies and other stakeholders in carrying out its mandate.
BJMP 10 director JCSupt Felixberto S.Jagorin Jr. said the anniversary is an opportunity to reaffirm the bureau’s commitmentto integrity, accountability, compassionate leadership and continuous improvement in jail management and public service.
The 35th anniversary celebration also recognized the contributions of BJMP personnel, partner agencies, local government units and stakeholders in advancing jail management, rehabilitation and public service.
