COUNCILOR Roger Abaday called for the conduct of a comprehensive study on building an additional off-street or satellite transport terminal in Cagayan de Oro City.
‘Our city continues to grow, and our public transportation system must grow with it,’ Abaday said in his special report on the issue delivered at the regular session on Monday afternoon, July 20.
At present, the city primarily relies on the Agora, Bulua, and Eastbound Integrated Bus Terminals to accommodate public utility vehicles and passengers.
Abaday, who chairs the 21st City Council’s committee on public order and safety, pointed to the significant growth of residential and commercial developments in the city’s uptown areas, particularly in Canitoan, Pagatpat, Lumbia, and other neighboring communities.
