6ID Chapel held a gift giving activity for the victims of ‘TS Paeng’

CAMP SIONGCO, Awang, DOS, Maguindanao – An estimated 150 residents including children are among the beneficiaries of the Gift Giving led by Sto. Niño de Cebu Chapel of the 6th Infantry (Kampilan) Division, Philippine Army.

The activity was led by Cpt. Jake Bilbao (CHS) PA, for the beneficiaries from Sitio Nabilan and Sitio Lomboy, Barangay Awang, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao this Wednesday, December 28, 2022.

Among those distributed are rice, groceries, drinking water and many others.

Colonel Roberto Huet, the Division Inspector General of the 6ID, was the guest of honor and speaker.

“Always give what is not remembered and always receive what is not forgotten”, according to Col. Huh.

It was also attended by representatives from various sponsors such as the Armed Forces and Police Savings and Loans Association, Inc. (AFPSLAI); Philippine Army Finance Center Producers Integrated Cooperative (PAFCPIC); BARMM – Rapid Emergency Action on Disaster Incidence (READi); Tropical Tailoring owned by Regina Ortiz and many others.

Soldiers from the 6th Infantry (RedSkin) Battalion, OG7 personnel, officers and active members of Sto. Niño de Cebu Chapel and others.

The youth happily participated in the parlor games prepared by the church.

The children and their parents were very happy with the gifts they received.

“The activity is part of our program in the church to make the true spirit of Christmas feel giving, especially to those who are poor and in need”, said Cpt. Bilbao.
