THE Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) – Region 10 recently hosted a contract signing ceremony for the Service Contract Program – Project Implementation Unit. This event, attended by key stakeholders, formalized agreements between the LTFRB and various Transport Service Entities (TSEs) to advance the government’s initiative to improve public transportation services.
The ceremony was graced by LTFRB Region 10 Regional Director Mr. Abosamen H. Matuan, Cagayan de Oro City Administrator Hon. Atty. Roy Hilario P. Raagas, and representatives from GPS providers, Ms. Blessed Grace F. Superales of NFINITE IT Solutions , Ms. Princess B. Gata of Unitrack Enterprises and Mr. Alex F. Remellete of SSD GPS Corp. Also in attendance were representatives from 49 transport cooperatives and other industry stakeholders.
The program featured a discussion highlighting the objectives and benefits of the Service Contract Program, followed by the formal signing of agreements. Officials underscored the critical role of collaboration between the government and transport operators in ensuring the program’s success.
This milestone signifies progress toward a more organized and efficient public transportation system in Region 10, bringing benefits to both transport operators and commuters.
