34IB is ready for a new challenge in the peace campaign

CAMP SIONGCO, Awang, DOS, Maguindanao – The 34th Infantry (Reliable) Battalion is ready for a new challenge assigned to intensify the campaign of the Joint Task Force Central and 6th Infantry (Kampilan) Division against Communist Terrorist Groups.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Rey C Rico, Acting Commander of 34IB, it is a big help for his men that they undergo the Battalion Retraining Program that started this July 12 to October 6, 2022. This is to hone their knowledge and skills.

The 34IB will be the partner of the 1st Mechanized Infantry Brigade as additional peacekeepers in its area of ​​operation.

“We also remind our colleagues in 34IB to show a good example to the community and be law-abiding”, according to Lt. Col. Rico.

Major General Roy Galido, JTF Central and 6ID Commander gave his reminder to those who underwent the recently concluded Battalion Retraining Program to preserve the reputation they have worked for.

“Remember, it takes years to build a reputation, and only minutes to destroy it”, according to JTF Central and 6ID Commander Maj. Gen. Galid.

He thanked the training committee for properly monitoring the Battalion Retraining Program.

“Congratulations to the 34IB and its personnel. May the retraining program be a good way for you to be better prepared for the new situation you will face. I hope that the purpose of this training was achieved and created unity in your unit”, he added. by Maj. Gen. Galido.

The Battalion Retraining Program is an operational capability preparedness program of an infantry battalion for rapid deployment missions against enemies at any level and intensity of combat.
